The legend, and the honest version
The story goes back centuries. Four thieves robbed the sick during a plague and, as the folklore has it, walked away untouched because they wore a blend of aromatic oils. Historians treat the tale as legend. We treat it as a scent story, a great one, and nothing more. The soap makes no health claim of any kind.
What we kept from the old recipe is the smell. Lemon opens it, sharp and clean. Clove and cinnamon sit in the middle, warm and a little spicy. Rosemary and eucalyptus run underneath, green and cooling. Five essential oils, kept at full strength so the blend reads true from the first wet lather to the last rinse.
That is the whole pitch: a scent worth building a bar around, on a base that actually cleans. What it will not do is guard your health. The Villain
Most scented bars sell you a story in one word on the label, then build the smell from a synthetic "fragrance" cocktail brewed to fake it. The oils cost too much, so the lab prints them and skips the bottle.
You get a flat, one-note copy that fades in the shower and leaves a chemical hum on the skin. The scent story on the box was written by a fragrance house, not by five real oils.
