What makes this different from other handmade soap?

Most "handmade" soap is melt-and-pour... microwave a base, add scent, pour. We've done real cold-process for 18 years: lye and oils from scratch, a 6-week cure, all the glycerin kept in. Baking bread vs reheating frozen dough.

Isn't this just expensive soap?

One bar lasts about 28 showers... about a month of daily use. Cheaper per wash than liquid body wash, and it never turns to mush after a week.
